*****A Wrinkle in Timeby Madeleine L'Engle Reviewed August 2001.
A Sonderbooks' Best Book of 2001 Available at Sembach Library (JF LEN). This one’s another classic. This time, I read it aloud to my kids at bedtime. I wasn’t real crazy about it as a read-aloud. It turns out that the main character, Meg, yells far too much, and I couldn’t figure out exactly how Mrs. Which’s voice was supposed to sound. But aside from those little quibbles, it’s a great book. Timothy said that he liked it very much, and Josh had already read and loved it. The story is described as a science fantasy--It works some scientific concepts into a sort of magical adventure to different planets. It’s another book that leaves you with a wonderful feeling of joy. I didn’t discover this book until I was a Sophomore in college, and I will always feel indebted to the person who recommended it to me.
