**Imagine You're a Fairy!

by Meg and Lucy Clibbon

Reviewed June 17, 2003.
Annick Press, 2002.  28 pages.
Available at Sembach Library (J 398.21 CLI).

Here’s a cute book for young girls interested in fairies.  Be sure to look for it in the nonfiction section, near the fairy tale books.  The book starts with “facts” about fairies, including what they wear, types of fairies, and where they live.  It continues with ideas to spark the imagination of fairy fans--including a magic spell for good luck, with the recipe containing one cup of daisy heads and a four-leaved clover “(a three-leaved clover will sometimes work if you can’t find one.)”  There are some notes on wand practice and flying practice.  This is a cute book that will add sparkle to an imaginative child’s adventures.
