Harcourt, Orlando, 2004. First published in Canada and Great Britain in 1993. 208 pages. The author of Life of Pi again shows his genius in this book of four stories. Although they are his earlier efforts, and not quite the masterpiece that is Life of Pi, he was already writing quirky, thought-provoking fiction. These stories are not typical or formulaic.
