Scholastic Press, New York, 2005. 40 pages. Available at Sembach Library (E MUT). One day, Addy, Michael and Karl meet Stillwater, a giant panda whose umbrella blew into their backyard. As the three of them make friends with Stillwater, he tells them three stories, each full of wisdom. Jon J Muth used three short stories from Zen Buddhist literature and told them simply enough that a child can get the point. He accompanies the stories with exquisite illustrations, and the result is a beautiful, meditative book.
