Yes, please!<\/p>\n<p>There are fifteen poems in this book, all by different authors except for Rebecca Kai Dotlich, who has the starting and ending poem.  All the poems have something to do with libraries.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m going to simply quote some of my favorite lines.<\/p>\n<p>From \u201cRefuge,\u201d by Nikki Grimes:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>. . . smiling at the sweet kingdom of story<br \/>\ninviting me in<br \/>\nto rest, to explore \u2013<br \/>\nto dream.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>From \u201cAt the Library,\u201d by Michele Krueger:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I\u2019ve found a treasure,<br \/>\na literal pleasure.<\/p>\n<p>a book<br \/>\nI\u2019ve not read<br \/>\nbefore.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>From \u201cEnchantment,\u201d by Jane Yolen:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Stack by stack,<br \/>\nshelf by shelf,<br \/>\nI pick out books<br \/>\nall by myself.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Of course I like \u201cLibrarian,\u201d by Joan Bransfield Graham<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>How do you<br \/>\nalways find<br \/>\nthe perfect<br \/>\nbook?<\/p>\n<p>You get that<br \/>\nlook<br \/>\nin your eyes<br \/>\nand there<br \/>\nit is . . .<\/p>\n<p>another<br \/>\nsurprise<br \/>\nto savor.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>From \u201cThe Poetry Section,\u201d by Alice Schertle:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>It reached out and <em>grabbed<\/em> me!<br \/>\nThat poetry sound<br \/>\nset my heart singing,<br \/>\nspun me around<\/p>\n<p>like a million bells ringing,<br \/>\na hundred-piece band \u2013<br \/>\nthose poems made music<br \/>\nright there in my hand.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>There\u2019s even a poem about reading to dogs at the library, \u201cReading with Riley,\u201d by Kristine O\u2019Connell George:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>all ears, all listen,<br \/>\nas we snuggle deeper<br \/>\ninto story.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>From \u201cBook Pillows,\u201d by Amy Ludwig Vanderwater:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>With my head on a book<br \/>\nI dream of a place<br \/>\nwhere a pig loves a spider. . . .<\/p>\n<p>Wild things on a rumpus!<br \/>\nFat evil kings!<br \/>\nBoy wizards, girl witches!<br \/>\nHorses with wings!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And the beginning and ending poems imagine mice in the library at the start and end of the day.  Of course at night they read the books!  From \u201cMidnight in a Library,\u201d by Rebecca Kai Dotlich:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>whiskers, tails twitch,<br \/>\nthere\u2019s magic in the air;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>These poems are accessible for very young children as well as kids in school.  And they celebrate libraries.
