My teacher said almost everyone in the village could read, write and count except for all of the grandmothers.<\/p>\n<p>So he built Aajibaichi Shala \u2013 Grandmother School.<\/p>\n<p>Ajoba \u2013 my grandfather \u2013 shook his head and said that learning at this age was a waste of time, but most of the people in the village were happy for the grandmothers.<\/p>\n<p>When Aaji first learned to spell her name, she did a little dance.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The book shows Aaji with daily tasks made simpler, and happy in her new-found knowledge.
