Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice on Love and Life from Dear Sugar<\/a><\/em>, by Cheryl Strayed<\/strong><\/p>\n

Beautiful advice that lifts my heart to read.<\/p>\n

Her Gates Will Never Be Shut<\/a><\/em>, by Bradley Jersak<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another book that presents a strong biblical case for universalism.<\/p>\n

For Teens<\/p>\n

Mortal Heart<\/a><\/em>, by Robin LaFevers<\/strong><\/p>\n

The third book in the amazing historical fantasy trilogy about assassin nuns in medieval Brittany.<\/p>\n

Impossible<\/a>, Extraordinary<\/a><\/em>, and Unthinkable<\/a><\/em>, by Nancy Werlin<\/strong><\/p>\n

These books are part of an amazing trilogy I devoured one after the other, with the beginning based on a young woman and her daughters cursed as in the ballad Scarborough Fair<\/em>.<\/p>\n

All the Truth That’s In Me<\/a><\/em>, by Julie Berry<\/strong><\/p>\n

An amazingly crafted tale about a wounded girl finding her voice.<\/p>\n

For Children<\/p>\n

The Winter Horses<\/a><\/em>, by Philip Kerr<\/strong><\/p>\n

A story of trying to save a herd of wild Przewalski\u2019s horses from the Nazis during World War II, and some children as well.<\/p>\n

The Great Greene Heist<\/a><\/em>, by Varian Johnson<\/strong><\/p>\n

A middle school heist novel! All kinds of fun!<\/p>\n

Brown Girl Dreaming<\/a><\/em>, by Jacqueline Woodson<\/strong><\/p>\n

A multiple-award-winning memoir in verse. It’s moving and it has beautiful poetry.<\/p>\n

The Princess in Black<\/a><\/em>, by Shannon Hale and Dean Hale, illustrated by LeUyen Pham<\/strong><\/p>\n

A delightful beginning chapter book that shows that even princesses can be action heroes.<\/p>\n

Waiting Is Not Easy!<\/a><\/em> by Mo Willems<\/strong><\/p>\n

I read this beginning reader while waiting for a job to come open I wanted to apply for, then to hear about each step of the process. How I related to Gerald! I didn’t even get the job in the end, though Piggie does show Gerald a delightful surprise at the end.<\/p>\n
