What makes the book so silly is the unusual choice of words, including such gems as <em>haberdashery, panache,<\/em> and <em>mezzo-soprano.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The story is simple, and beautiful in its own bizarre way, about cheering up despondent friends and eating lots of cake.  The pictures go right along with the words, portraying unusual details for the interested observer.<\/p>\n<p>This is one of those books that you really must read for yourself, discovering the delightful details.
