A Snow-cation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sonderbooks.com\/sonderblessings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Snowman.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-229\" src=\"http:\/\/sonderbooks.com\/sonderblessings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Snowman.jpg\" alt=\"Snowman\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sonderbooks.com\/sonderblessings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Snowman.jpg 450w, https:\/\/sonderbooks.com\/sonderblessings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Snowman-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve gotten 2 and 3\/4 days off because of our blizzard.\u00a0 Plus the two days of the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>I had hoped to do a Blizzard Blog Blitz and get a lot of reviews posted while I had the time off.\u00a0 As it was, I did get some house-cleaning done.\u00a0 But yesterday, going for a walk in the snow so wiped me out, I ended up napping and the day was eaten up.<\/p>\n<p>So my choice today:\u00a0 Go for another walk in the snow, or stay inside and get things done?<\/p>\n<p>But I got to thinking:\u00a0 I couldn&#8217;t pay enough to get a vacation where I&#8217;d get to have long walks in deep snow each day, followed by a nap and reading by a fire.\u00a0 On top of that, add in no need to drive!\u00a0 And games with my son.<\/p>\n<p>I knew I&#8217;d have to go back to work soon enough.\u00a0 (Tomorrow, as it happens.)\u00a0 I chose to seize the opportunity to go out and walk in just about the deepest snow I&#8217;ve ever experienced.\u00a0 (In 2010, it was probably deeper, but I didn&#8217;t have such a nice place to walk &#8212; and I also didn&#8217;t have a garage, so spent all my energy digging my car out.)<\/p>\n<p>And, Wow!\u00a0 How blessed I was to have that experience!\u00a0 I will remember this morning forever.\u00a0 Just a treat.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sonderbooks.com\/sonderblessings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Snowman2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-230\" src=\"http:\/\/sonderbooks.com\/sonderblessings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Snowman2.jpg\" alt=\"Snowman2\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sonderbooks.com\/sonderblessings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Snowman2.jpg 450w, https:\/\/sonderbooks.com\/sonderblessings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Snowman2-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve gotten 2 and 3\/4 days off because of our blizzard.\u00a0 Plus the two days of the weekend.
