Walking on Top of the Snow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, I&#8217;m back to work.\u00a0 However, today was my late shift, 12:30 to 9:00.\u00a0 On those days, I like to go for a walk before work.\u00a0 And today there was still snow!<\/p>\n<p>I wondered if I should really go for a walk, since I wouldn&#8217;t be able to take a nap to recover.\u00a0 Wading through deep, deep snow is exhausting!<\/p>\n<p>But when it came down to it, the sun was shining brightly, and I couldn&#8217;t resist.\u00a0 The snow won&#8217;t last forever.\u00a0 Yesterday, a lot of melting happened, and now the snow has rounded bumps all over.\u00a0 Last night, there was a hard freeze, though, so I was a little worried about ice on the sidewalks.<\/p>\n<p>Well, I was able to keep from slipping on the sidewalks.\u00a0 But when I got to the snow, I found a wonderful side effect of the freeze last night &#8212; Now I could walk on top of the snow!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sonderbooks.com\/sonderblessings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Tracks.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-233\" src=\"http:\/\/sonderbooks.com\/sonderblessings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Tracks.jpg\" alt=\"Tracks\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sonderbooks.com\/sonderblessings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Tracks.jpg 400w, https:\/\/sonderbooks.com\/sonderblessings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Tracks-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This picture shows the difference in the amount my feet sank into the snow on Tuesday on the left and today (Thursday) on the right.<\/p>\n<p>Amazing how much less work it was to walk on the snow today!\u00a0 And it&#8217;s still tremendously beautiful.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sonderbooks.com\/sonderblessings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/FrozenLake.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-234\" src=\"http:\/\/sonderbooks.com\/sonderblessings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/FrozenLake.jpg\" alt=\"FrozenLake\" width=\"450\" height=\"337\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sonderbooks.com\/sonderblessings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/FrozenLake.jpg 450w, https:\/\/sonderbooks.com\/sonderblessings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/FrozenLake-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, I&#8217;m back to work.\u00a0 However, today was my late shift, 12:30 to 9:00.\u00a0 On those days, I like to go for a walk before work.\u00a0 And today there was still snow!
