Hooray!  The creators of The Magic School Bus series have started a new series called Ms. Frizzle’s Adventures.  The Magic School Bus taught kids about science.  This new series teaches about history, and it’s equally fun and creative.

In Medieval Castle, Ms. Frizzle, Arnold, and two workers from a Castle Shop go back in time to a castle in England.  There, they withstand a siege and Arnold gets through enemy lines to send a message to the lord of the castle.  Meanwhile, we learn all sorts of facts about castles and life in medieval times.  This will be a great addition to our library, making good reading for military kids who can visit the local German castles.

This isn’t in-depth information, but it’s a good overview for kids, entertaining as well as informative.
