***Sam's Letters to Jenniferby James Patterson
Reviewed July 21, 2004.
Little, Brown and Company, New York, 2004. 263 pages. Available at Sembach Library (F PAT). As he did in Suzanne’s Diary for Nicholas, James Patterson once again turns his hand to a love story and does a nice job. If you’re a fan of Nicholas Sparks, you’ll probably like this book as well. Jennifer’s grandmother, Samantha, is in a coma. She’s left Jennifer letters answering questions about her life. In the letters, Sam reveals a secret love that Jennifer knew nothing about. How she wishes she could ask Sam about them. While Jennifer is staying at her grandmother’s house and visiting Sam in the hospital, someone else comes back into her life, a man she played with when they were both kids at the lake. But Brendan also has a secret he’s not telling Jennifer. James Patterson weaves together two love stories in this charming book. It’s a quick read, perfect for when you feel like reading a cozy, feel-good romance. Reviews of other books by James Patterson: Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas Jester Copyright © 2005 Sondra Eklund. All
