Okay, I haven’t read this one yet. I discovered on Sunday (at the Ramstein Bookmark) that the Germany Eyewitness Guide is now available and picked it up. It looks fantastic! Those are my favorite travel guides already. The lavish pictures give you a wonderful idea of what you personally would be interested in. At last they have one about Germany! I highly recommend it for those of you who live here and those of you who are planning to come visit us! Unfortunately, it does slight the Kaiserslautern area. Granted, this isn’t exactly a tourist area, but many of the castles and forests are every bit as good as some in the more touristy areas that they mentioned. Still, they mentioned the big “must-see” places that aren’t far away, like the Rhine River and Heidelberg. And gave me some ideas for our next outings. These travel guides are also a good way to remember your trip--Tonight, I looked at my Ireland guide to tell about Newgrange when I posted my pictures.
