****There's No Toilet Paper. . . on the Road Less TraveledThe Best of Travel Humor and Misadventureedited by Doug Lansky
Reviewed June 23, 2004.
Traveler’s Tales, San Francisco, 1998. 190 pages. Available at Sembach Library (818.5402 THE). This book is put out by the same publisher as Not So Funny When It Happened, and it’s got the same subtitle. It’s another, equally delightful collection of hilarious stories of life away from home. I was a little alarmed to again find myself laughing the hardest at Dave Barry’s two essays. Perhaps my humor isn’t as sophisticated as I think. However, I did enjoy all of the bizarre, silly, and simply funny stories included. There’s no better way to remind yourself that, when you’re traveling, if things go wrong, at least you’ll have a funny story to tell. Copyright © 2005 Sondra Eklund. All
