This book has a special place in my heart since it’s one of the first
books my Timothy read on his own that’s not an easy reader. This
book, like
The Three Pigs by David
Wiesner, shows the characters stepping out of the book and creating the
story. “The Bravest Ever Bear” part is written by the bear himself.
But then the typewriter gets taken over by “The Perfectest Ever Princess”
who rejects giving her hand in marriage to a bear. Things really
get crazy when a troll and a dragon get hold of the typewriter. Another
tremendously fun book, playing with ideas from common nursery rhymes and
fairy tales, creating something entirely new.
