Here’s a sweet collection of six stories about 4- or 5-year-old Jamie and his toy bull, Angus.  These would make ideal bedtime stories, since they’re too long for a child that age to read to himself.

The stories are about everyday activities, yet very imaginative.  In the first one, Jamie chooses Angus at the store, but has to wait to own him until Christmas.  He tries to keep Angus clean, but his Grandma sticks Angus in the washing machine and Angus turns dingy and gray.  In the end he decides it’s nice to have a toy who doesn’t have to be kept clean.
