***Once Upon a Starry Night

A Book of Constellations

by Jacqueline Mitton and Christina Balit

Reviewed March 21, 2004.
National Geographic, Washington, DC, 2003.  203 pages.
Available at Sembach Library (J 523.8 MIT).

Once Upon a Starry Night tells the stories behind the constellations of gods and heroes found among the stars in the sky, including a star map so you can find them.  Each story is presented simply and clearly, with a picture showing how you can possibly get that character from the sketch of the stars.  It’s a nice resource.  I didn’t know all these stories.
