I simply like this book!

Rachael says her Momma’s purse is magical.  Cousin David says it’s not.

So what if she has a bandage when Rachael needs one?  Everyone has bandages.

So what if she has warm clothes when it gets cold?  That’s just luck.

But when Momma pulls out a perfect picnic lunch, David stops smiling.  When it rains, and she has umbrellas, galoshes, and raincoats, he suspects that something’s fishy about that purse.

In the end, David’s curiosity gets him into trouble.  It’s a good thing Momma has a Rescue Kit in her magical purse!

This book is funny and sweet and pays tribute to well-prepared mothers everywhere.
