***Peepers

by Eve Bunting

Reviewed November 3, 2001.
Harcourt.  2001.  32 pages.  Available at Sembach Library (E BUN).

This book tells about two boys whose father runs “Fred’s Fall Color Tours” in New England.  They call the tourists “Peepers,” and laugh at how they ooh and ahh at the sights.  But you can see the kids catching some of the sense of wonder along the way.

Since our own fall color in Germany is stunning this year, this book touched me.  The pictures are glorious.  A nice book about Autumn.
