If you at all enjoy looking at babies, then you are probably familiar with Anne Geddes’ photographs.  In this book Miracle, she has outdone herself.  The oldest baby pictured is 28 days old.  The photographs pair sleeping newborn babies with flowers.  They sleep on roses, sprout from orchids, and appear inscrutable in lotus blossoms.

The book comes with an accompanying CD of love songs and lullabies sung by Celine Dion, songs of love and hope for a newborn infant.  There is also an accompanying DVD talking about the process of collaborating and working together.  The beautiful babies bring tears to my eyes when I look at the pictures or watch the DVD.  This is truly an appropriate celebration of the wondrous miracle of new life.
