Here’s another magnificent book of photographs put out by publisher
Harry N. Abrams. This one is awe-inspiring, with photos taken
by Philip Plisson, an official Peintre de la Marine artist for the French
Navy.
The photos include lighthouses, coastlines, boats, and the waves
of the sea itself. My personal favorite is a four-page spread of
The Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland. Already an oversize book
with enormous pages, several pages have flaps that open out, giving a
view that you have to turn your head to take in.
Anyone who loves the sea will love this book.
