Dancing the World's Best-loved Ballets

by Frank Augustyn and Shelley Tanaka

Reviewed September 16, 2001.
2001.

I don’t usually get excited about children’s nonfiction, but this book is something special.  Filled with beautiful photographs, it tells the story of ballet--how it was developed, the stories of famous ballets, and how it feels to be a dancer.  The book is wonderfully crafted with humorous anecdotes woven between serious aspects of the craft of ballet.
