As part of Sonderbooks25, I'm revisiting a favorite from my very first issue of Sonderbooks in 2001. The Sand-Reckoner, by Gillian Bradshaw, is a novel about Archimedes, the quintessential nerdy engineer making machines to defend Syracuse against Rome.
